    Hi everyone,

yesterday I started spamming walls using a link shortener like bit.ly and a cpa offer accepted for social media.

My question is, do I have to cloak my affiliate links when spamming walls?
Does the cpa network see where exactly the traffic from FB is coming from?

Or is it okay to just use a link shortener?

    What do you guys say?

I don't want to get banned...

I always fake ref here to..

Use a simply php redirection script from your index file direct to the offer. And you´re fine. :)

Most link shorteners do not blank the ref, so either way the CPA company will see the facebook page its coming from. You gotta use something to blank the ref, like a php redirection script as mentioned...

    Always disclose your traffic source.
Some Url shortener still pass the referer info.
Use DMR script, it's easy to setup and worth your time.

i just use a simple php 301 as mentioned above. mostly for my own tracking then as it seems to generally work better than firing off an http request onclick.

    Thanks all for your answers!

I made a blog with some related articles and self hosted cpa banners with links to the product yesterday.
I uploaded the CPA Redirector 2 plugin and use this blog as my fake referrer now.

I hope that's enough to hide my ass...

I just use my own domains to redirect and haven't had any problems.

I started out not cloaking my affiliate links until my ID gave away my identity to the publisher who then closed my account (but I was able to active it again). I have since started cloaking my links with my domain php redirect. I do not feel 100% comfortable that it goes through the process as well as the straight link but I do not have any other option. It does take people to the correct page so maybe it is something else.

I recommend alwasy blanking your referers. Spend a half hour create a basic whitehat site and add your links to it. If the network asks, point to it as your source. If you're making enough bank, you can even send some fake traffic to better cover your tracks.

I would use a PHP script, or a WordPress plugin such as CPA Redirector 2 or Pretty Link to completely cloak your links.

If you can send problem-free quality leads, no CPA is going to reject them, even if they DO find out where your traffic is coming from. If they get complaints, well that's a different story.
