Hey guys.. I've been working on setting up one of these 'lot of repeated articles' adsense ready websites, which, of course, work with content that is already out there.. duplicated content.

Now, from your guys experience, is it a waste of time trying to grab some organic traffic with this kind of content? Or, if I make some decent SEO, I can have a piece of bacon out of these?

Cheers.

Rewrite them all. Your contents need to be 20% unique to be indexed by Google.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

vinniffa...you can get indexed and rank for keywords with dupe content. The difficulty varies depending on your niche and your SEO skills.

Crap mate, i just sold an autoblog with 100% dupe content, gets thousands of visitors per day, thousands of links on google and it just got a pr 1.

The dupe content debate is proven wrong everyday, just ask autoblog owners how much money they are making from them.

Is it possible to get on the top of the front page of Google with duplicate content?
(I'm not sure if that's what you meant by PR1 bu11d0g)

This is something I've been wondering for a while...

Is it harder to do with dupe content or about the same? Assuming you have a good niche selected.

You can rank #1 on Google with duplicate content....it just depends on your niche and your keywords really. PR1 = google page rank of 1

No, i meant it just got page rank 1, gettin page 1 results is easy if you follow some simple seo rules, wordpress + good seo plugins + constantly updating content + knowing where and how to get traffic (thousands of visitors) will get your site to the top for niche related posts, not whole websites but posts.

I agree. Just got good rankings for a blog built entirely with duplicate content. Use on page and off page SEO (link building, etc.) and you can make it despite duplicate content.

I have sites/splogs pulling down 600+ visits a day or more (after 4.5 months) with 100% dup content. All I did the first 2 months was post 2-3 messages using CC and replies (1-2) and waited until google picket it up. Then weekly I increased the dup content 5 fold and then hit youtube videos hard and these splogs now grow at 12-20% a month. I also linkjuiced the shit out of them and SEO hosted each splog.

Then I opened several accounts with blogger and twitter (using the same content) then copied the (via a widget) dup splog content to blogger and Twitter as feeder pages with links and banners going to other splogs.

A real circle-jerk going on. In 5 months I was able to generate 3.5k a day off 5 splogs. Now I just purchased 40 domains and want to see where this goes..

Now, do you guys think that it would be better to have 10 blogs, with 20 PLR articles each, each one with one niche, OR one website, 200 PLR not related articles?

Google got this thing about bigger sites, but the relevance is important too.. so 10 blogspots niche focused, or one bigger site with all the articles?

Cheers.

First time I read I thought it was $3.5k/day.. but it's visitors, right?

SEO is 20% content and 80% back links and some other off site optimization, at least for me .

Unique content is good if you can afford it but it's not a necessary, you can achieve the same success with dup and the right SEO/link building .

Go with a small niche is better, or focus on some keywords .. .

Ya, unique visits. If it was $3.6k/day I would never post shit. But for 6 month old domains I'll take that traffic on 5 blogs. I have seen a HUGE increase in traffic and actually backed off a bit due to getting the hang of my new x-rummer to my blogger feeder pages. Now, what the "F" to do with all the traffic?

Google is getting much tighter on duplicate content and if you've done any exact phrase sniplet searches recently you'll see they're often reporting only the first two finds with the rest supplementaled.

I've used a lot of dupe content very successfully in the past but there's no doubt now that the pendulum is swinging in favor of unique material.

If you want nothing more than a quick flip then 100% dupe stuff is fine but if you want a keeper I'd go as unique as possible from now on.

lol im glad i decided to check the forums one last time before bed...

been wanting to know what PR1, PR4, etc means for awhile lol
