    Dear BHW Members,

I hope you guys had great weekend. Its been more than 10 days i am keep pushing my self to find which i am unable to find yet.I shall be greatfull if somebody give me great answer with explanation.

Basically i have client who sell tyres via e-commerce platform using opencart. He basically want unique domain for each city let say for london it should be londontyres.co.uk and for manchester it should be manchestertyres.co.uk

The problem rise when he required everything same in others websites even products. If we keep going on this strategy than we might will have issue of immense duplicate content.

After doing research i find out 2 things...

what i have find untill now if we use same template for every website but ask google not to index products of website,in that way we can minimize the issue of duplicate product.

I even think i should ask google not to index any page of website except main page, service page and contact page.

please let me have your thoughts...

    Thanks
    Aqib Mahmood

What about using subdomains instead of unique domains ? Content needs to be altered though.

    Greetings !

Few things ...are you planning to upload all products on every site via CSV ?....if that is the case you can save the duplication of the product name ...u can always replace the name of the product by simply adding some tag ....we have done previously for the client same way ...with different domain and he use to upload only 1 file ...and all products gets uploaded to all site with different tag name

    Regards
    Adroit

I understand what your client is trying to accomplish, but creating and maintaining individual sites as you mentioned will be quite overwhelming if you intend on having them act as "tier 1" sites.

    My suggestion?
Use one top level domain and create super geo-targeted sub-pages under it, and to satisfy your clients desires you should still build out his domains after (as I assume he has already purchased them) and point a single link from each corresponding city SITE to that city PAGE on the top level site.

    What this solves?
Later down the road your "link juice" will all flow towards one centralized domain and all of your properties will be working together vs the internet instead of against each other and everyone else in the space.

Why not simply create one site, and then forward the other domains to the main one. One host, with a redirect for all the other domain names.

Tell him the truth, it's silly to tackle it this way. Create on authority site that is branded. An authority site will rank much better than multiple sites, just because it has a keyword in doesn't make it good. It's a poor URL. Create a brand, use social media, quality onsite and off site SEO and obviously get high authority links.

I was thinking at the same thing: it`s more organized like this and costs are reduced a little bit
