I am working with a company that operates under multiple brand names savers & valuevillage. Each brand has a separate website for it, but the websites are 100% duplicates of one another.

If you visit savers [dot] com or valuevillage [dot] com you can see how they are the same.

Now when we Google "savers" or any savers based keywords valuevillage dominates the results. This is due to the websites being exactly the same with the same structure, layout, content, hosting, SEO tags, etc.

Does anyone have experience with this and have any suggestions on what to do to fix this problem. Omit the fact that the sites have the same on-site SEO which is a huge factor as to why valuevillage ranks for savers)

I know we can build one main site, have sub-pages or sub-domains, but what is the best approach? Would just reskinning valuevillage and changing the content be enough to differentiate the two?

    Thanks!

P.S. Carls Jr. & Hardys have the same issue, but they are big brands so people can differentiate the two based on their brand recognition, which we do not have here.

Seen your and both has the same products?
An idea, why don't we split the products, place some products on the savers and some other to valuevillage.

    or

Increase the keyword density a little on the savers website pages for saver based keywords
    likewise to the valuevillage.
