I have a client who has duplicate title tags, but they are ranking in other language search engines. What do I do now? The other pages are "supposed" to be different language sites, but they are (a) sub-directories under the same domain and (b) they are still in English and not translated into the other languages.

Do I keep them and risk being hit by duplicate content tags or change the title to reflect the language and lose the existing rankings?

If the inner content is different, then it won't affect the rankings. If the site is wordpress based and you don't need the other pages then do a redirection to a ranking page.

Well, the content is different (its in another language), but its still all resting on the same site. www.website.com/es (for Spanish) and www.website.com/fr (for French)

So having duplicate title tags on the same domain will impede or hurt me overall in some way I'm thinking.

    Any thoughts?
