I hope I am not asking a question that will make me look like a sill newbie.

I run a popular blog in my niche. I post unique articles to it weekly and have a large amount of readers.

Recently one of my readers informed me of a site that steals all of my posts and posts them onto a wordpress blog. It is not done through RSS the guy actually goes to my blog, copies an article and pastes it to his blog. His blog is riddled with adsense ads ect. He is basically using my content to rank on Google. This is probably a common problem for internet marketers. my questions are:

Will I be penalised by Google for the duplicate content?
    Can I stop him?

If you're in the US, send a demand letter to the hosting company which says that they better take the site down or force him to stop stealing your stuff. This guy is clearly in the wrong. PM me and I may be able to get you a sample letter to look at and use as a template of what to send. You should be able to figure out who the hosting company is through a domain.whois search.

I would not be too concerned about the duplicate content issue, I think that is way overblown.

    Good Luck.
