OK. I'm right now working on two websites. The problem is this client has the same content on each website (so duplicate content; the websites are literally the same) with different URL's. They're different TLD's for different countries. So this client has two (identical) version of their website for different countries.

Is there any way for them to not get blasted by Google for this? I'd like to do work for both domains. Free thanks to whoever helps me out! :D

Thanks; but what I more mean is, is it OK to have these two websites up... or is this business going to get slapped by Google?

you think you have problems ...

when I moved into my current position the owners had 5 duplicate websites, with 5 varying domains all residing on the same server ... every page on every site was keyword stuffed and it is what most people would call an ideal nightmare ..

Start changing the content with as much unique stuff as you can and add a few new files / folders and before you know it all will be good again .. I have managed to get multiple NO.1's with the above mentioned site, so it can be done ..

Don't you just love SEO :)

    Haha, yes indeed :D

I think that is the only solution. They aren't being punished by Google yet, but if I start a comprehensive SEO campaign it'll draw attention to them so we can't risk it. I think I'll just have to rewrite their website copy on one of their website for the important pages and stop others from being crawled by Google. Damn, 5 versions! How boring, LOL.
