Quick question. We all know that running two websites with the same content is a bad idea........ Panda etc. But what about when the two sites target different geographic regions? Lets say one site in the UK, and another in Australia for example.

The specification of the two sites:

    • Hosted in different countries
    • One on a .co.uk domain and another on a .com (for Australia, cant get a .com.au unfortunately)
    • Use the same design template with exactly the same content
    • Targeting different regions as per settings in GWT
    • Same Whois information

Do you think I could get away with using the same content on the two sites, or would Google still see this as duplicate?

I agree with the link you posted. But it's obviously more risky when your content is in English for both marketplaces, I wouldn't want to post the same general information about something on an English .co.uk and .com.au address. A general information piece about dog grooming is going to be the same whether your in Australia, the US or the UK.

Since you are using the sites for different geographical locations, it wont matter much and your site would not be penalized for the same content.
