Hey guys I have a review site with 10 reviews...

In each review I want to have a small section that mentions discount codes, shipping details etc.. this information would be the same thing across all articles.

So 15% of the content on each review wouldn't be unique...

Is that ok or will google give me a slight penalty for that?

If your page has 1,000 words for example, and you have a footer section of about 50 words, that's fine. That's not really duplicate content if they 1,000 words above it are unique.

However, you can simply re-write the discount code section for each page. That's the safest method and should ease your mind.

    ^ thanks

my reviews are 1200-2000 words of unique content + maybe 200-300 words of duplicate content.

to be honest I HATE re-writing the same content over and over...

especially when it's something like "for a limited time if you buy 2 you'll get 1 free, plus get free shipping to xyz"

rewriting paragraphs like that is a real pain in the ass haha.

it's not in the footer but right before the end of each review, there's a section giving details about the company, shipping info, special deals etc.

This is pretty simple. Re write the content. Same (partial) content will obviously cause a dup content penalty.

I would says its fine, as your content would significantly be different from others.

I hate rewrites too. But one thing I HATE far more is losing ranking because I was lazy instead of doing 5-10 minutes of work.

    2 options:

    1. Keep rewriting it until your hand falls off
    2. Make an image of all that, put the image where the text would go, and link it to your offer (yes, an image with text in it instead of writing the same thing)
