Hi friends! I'm planning to upload PLR content WITHOUT rewriting it in a subdomain (like keyword.mydomain.com) and try to get traffic from social networks, but I'm afraid of Google punishes mydomain.com lowering search rankings. What do you think about it?

I know that subdomain won't rank in search engines and I don't care because I intend to use only social traffic there, but I don't want it cause troubles for TLD.

You will be hit already by the PLR content for duplicate content, making it nearly impossible to rank properly. I suggest you rethink the PLR angle - it may look like saving work in the short run but in the long run this will just be wasted energy and money.

Hi nersande and thanks for replying me!

As I said, I don't care if that subdomain (specific niche) won't rank, because I intend to make money only from social networks. BUT I don't want it harms my domain (general/broad niche), because it has some search rankings. Did you understand my doubt?

    Thanks for attention!

You would think that if that were the case, no domain.blogspot.com or domain.wordpress.com would ever rank.

Although, if nobody provides you with a straight answer, the the best way to find the answer to this question is to get a disposable, rank it for a few easy keywords, add unmodified PLR or spam content to a subdomain, and watch what happens.

Unfortunately domains like wordpress.com and blogspot.com are treated differently. They have manual selection for large domains that are allowed to do this.

If you do this on a brand new site, yes it'll penalize you.

Nice, NOW we are talking as blackhatters!

There is another alternative: doing what I said BUT blocking search engine crawlers in that subdomain. In theory, if I block crawlers, it shouldn't be crawled and analysed, therefore, it shouldn't cause troubles to main domain.

I guess it deserves a good try. I'll prepare and test something during this week. Wish me luck!
