I realized I could have Googled that after posting too. My bad.

But, do you get paid for increasing post counts?Especially when you are already a jrvip.. Lol! Because I don't know what I might be trying to do that.

The question wasn't directed to you!

I've found that countdown timers and visitor counts etc just make the store look low quality.

When building out a branded store, I saw no difference in conversion rate when turning it off.

yeah i took all the spam stuff down. no more count down timers, trust badges, fake real time visitor number

only thing i have is the sales popups in the bottom of the screen. "somebody in XYZ, USA has purchased". i like it cause those are verified purchases and people can see all the social proof

I mean you can have that spammy stuff if your target is a young audience.

Is your store accepting credit cards or only through paypal?

Are you using any free traffic (IG,Twitter ETC.) Or just doing Ads to get sales?

    Yeah, these can be good.

Personally, as someone who looks at drop shipping sites all day, I hate them. As soon as I see any standard Shopify app I just close it down :D

i accept everything. credit cards, paypal, etc
    100% facebook and instagram ads
i think the sales pop up in corner should work. people that land on the site will think "oh shit people are actually buying" and may feel compelled to buy themselves

Tell me about it lmao, I don't even do dropshipping but I get so many fucking dropshipping store ads in my fb feed I'm getting sick of shopify stores. "Dropshipping" is an interest on fb with more than 12 million fucking people in it, that's a bigger audience than some whole countries, I watched a few dropshipping related yt vids once, now I see more ads from wannabe gurus with extremely punch-able faces trying to sell me some shit $297 course than there are successful dropshipping stores.

I don't have a problem with other people's hustle but the thing about these dropshipping stores that I really don't like is how they pollute the whole ecommerce space. 90% of the stores sell really shitty items, but they make it seem like the product is out of this world, half the time the product being shown in the video isn't even the same one being shipped by the chinese seller they use. Not to mention it takes 2 weeks to a whole month for the customer to receive their items in most cases, if not more. That alone is enough to make someone never buy something again from a random store advertising on fb and just stick to trusted sites like amazon. A legit new brand with their own high quality products might find it hard to get sales because people have had such horrible experience with these dropshipping stores that they won't buy again from a brand they haven't heard from.

I once saw a hair straightner ad using a high quality product in the ad video, making it seem like a magical product, selling it for $40 or something, then I opened the comments and there were people posting photos of the product they received, a shitty plastic straightner that's listed for $4 on aliexpress.

Saw another ad showing a real high quality realistic lightsaber, selling for $65, then in the comments something posted saying they received a crappy plastic toy. The people who bought from these stores are probably never going to buy something from a store like that again.

There's probably some good stores out there that are upfront about the shipping times and test products before dropshipping them to make sure quality isn't too trash, of course there's some that have white labeled their stores, buying in bulk adding their own logos, shipping quickly, but most of them don't do any of that.

Anyways, sorry about the rant, good luck to you op, kudos to you if you really end up making this thing profitable.

launched a new batch of LLAs. using view content pixel data, finally have enough data for it

getting sales basically everyday. down like $100 and spent around $750 on ads so far. the money ads up. very easy to drop $1k on facebook ads in a blink of an eye. as long as i break even though i don't give a shit how much money i put in this, i've got plenty of money. unfortunately i am negative money but that can change very easily. if i get 1 or 2 fat orders i will be break even again

also, i'm getting a shit ton of credit card points lol 2% cash back

i'm running 5 CBOs right now, 1 is a retargeting CBO. most of my sales have been coming from one country that i found converts well. i'm slowly branching out to other countries. i'm running strictly LLAs right now. no more cold interest targeting. i have enough data for only LLAs which i find are easier to scale up with and can convert well

my supplier doubled the price on ali like a piece of shit!!

thankfully there are 5 other suppliers selling the exact same thing for very cheap like it should be. i messaged my supplier and requested him to revert it back. if no response within 24 hours i'm gonna switch to a new supplier. stupid idiot supplier probably sees several orders per day and realizes it's being dropshipped, so decides to double the price? lol idiot, say bye bye to the orders

I mean, do you accept credit cards through shopify's own system [stripe]? In other words, do you live in the US or Australia? Because I live in Europe and they only allow us to accept credit card payments with Paypal Express Checkout, not Stripe.

i made a lot of sales today but i actually wasn't profitable. once you factor in the ad costs and cost of goods

need to keep tweaking the facebook ads... i ordered the product i'm selling so that when it gets here i can start shooting videos of it and testing new creatives

i forgot to watermark my video ad, just realized that now. also didn't watermark the gif i'm using on my website. so yeah, none of my shit is watermarked. and my website could always be improved. i need an easy to use video editor. was thinking wevideo. once the product arrives i'll look into that. start watermarking my shit and creating a few video ads to test in a PPE. creative optimization time

i think the shit i have right now should be good enough to be profitable. decent ad with a lot of engagement, about 200ish likes and 50 shares. product page is good too. supplier brought down the prices for me so i'm back in action. it's so easy to suddenly become profitable and to lose it as well. this is because one fat order will push me into profit. if someone places a $45-60 order all of a sudden i'm profitable. but if i keep running ads for $50 spend then now i'm not profitable. it's cause right now i'm sitting at break even. haven't been on a hot streak of consistent sales and very little ad spend. that's what i need
