Dropshipping Journey to $100 per Day

    I had a store too. I managed to get sales but always the ROI was negative. Like if I sold $500, I would spend like $700 on ads... I sold everything from socks to jewelry. I used FB ads. Maybe if I started with Instagram influencers first... but now I don't have any money to invest at all.

    So I'm curious about your journey. Good luck.

    i'm doing a one product store. if this store sales i was thinking maybe starting a general store just so i can test winners without having to start a whole store all over

    i watched more content on youtube. a vid i watched basically explained how you can search shopify stores, find their ads, and steal their winning videos and products. then find the product on aliexpress, make a site, use their content, then just run ads all day. if this store fails i may go in that direction. but if i do i'm going to watch a lot more content before i start it to have a better understanding. but anyway, i hope this store doesn't fail but you never know. already spent $70 on interests and 1 sale so... not really a good sign

    You should stop spending money on ads and promote it manually, group sharing etc... If it's a real problem solver and your store is optimised correctly, you'll make sales. If manual advertising works and you make a few sales then paid surely will. I haven't done dropshipping before but think like a consumer and what makes people impulse buy etc and you'll work your own formula out

    Quite a few videos/tutorials I've seen on dropshipping says to use free advertising before going the paid route

    yes. gabriel st germain can get very technical, not sure if all his information and game plan is actually necessary. like "super look-a-like" audiences. not sure if that provides high rewards or just a technical tip that grants a few % more sales and conversion

    i also have been watching some king comm. he's a very young kid that's had success. i watch him cause his tutorials and vids really dumb the whole process down, making it straight forward on how to do things. so i combine tips and tricks from both of them

    Super LLA don't matter until you are consistently having profitable days with many single LLA adsets.
    The point of a SLLA is that if you try to increase the budget of a small LLA audience of let's say 100,000 people, it will become unprofitable sooner than if you combined it with other single LLA and increased the budget of all of them together.
    It's cause the Zuck is money hungry so if you set the budget at $100 it WILL be spent. FB will keep showing the same people the adif it runs out of new people in a small audience which raises CPP. This effect is mitigated by creating the SLLA.

    But I agree, It's not necessary to get to $100 -$1000/day but is useful when scaling.

    You need 100-200 sales on your Facebook pixel in order for the ads to perform well. Otherwise, you'll get a sale here and there and you will burn all your ads money. That's what happened to me. :) Picking a good influencer with good engagement rate and paying him/her $50 can be more profitable than $50 on ads with no pixel data. But the trick is to see what other people on Instagram are selling and the way they are designing the posts because a bad post can get you no sales even with a very good influencer. After 50-100 sales, you can move on Facebook ads and do lookalike audiences based on those 100 sales. This is my advice.

    around $100, the ads that made sales are still profitable ROAS so if i wanted to play safe money i could just turn off everything except those 2 and wait for more sales. but i'd rather keep testing to find some more profitable audiences
    i think both should work. there are case studies of people taking stores from $0 a day to $1000 a day with nothing but facebook and instagram ads. it is possible

    Yeah, but they did this when ads costs were low... 2-3 years ago. Everything explained on youtube are methods that they used to do 2-3 years ago. Back then, there was little competition so costs per ad were low. Now, if you start with ads directly, you can burn all your ad money and have no profit. You will get sales, but the ROI will be negative.

    The youtube videos on how to do things on Shopify are made with old methods. The sole purpose is for them to cash out on google Adsense on youtube. The RPM (earnings per 1000 views) on youtube is very high on the "make money online" niche. So they "cook" many Shopify stories in order to cash out on the youtube views. I'm not saying they didn't make all that money on Shopify, but the methods that they did to earn that money don't work anymore.

    I'll give you a different but related example. Everyone is teaching now on "how to make money on youtube" to make video compilations and earn from youtube monetization. Yes, it used to work, but for almost a year now, it doesn't work anymore because youtube changed its AI to recognize reused content on youtube and demonetize the videos and channels.

    The same thing with Shopify. The methods the YouTubers teach used to work in the early days, but now they don't. You get sales, but not enough to make a profit. I checked this myself. I followed their instructions... spent $1000 and made $700 sales. Why? Because ad cost is really high because everyone is trying shopify now since the youtube videos so ad cost keeps on rising. The more people compete on facebook ads, the higher the ad cost price.

    So after all this, I realized that advertising on Instagram influencers and Youtube influencers could be more efficient than running ads AT THE BEGINNING. After some sales, yeah, facebook ads is a go-go.

    all the videos i've been watching have been posted within the last 6 months. i've been watching case studies of people taking stores from $0 to $1000 per day with just facebook ads. these videos have been uploaded in the PAST MONTH. i probably won't address this again, the info i've learned from has been current and recent information

    update: sold only 2 units today. killed 2 adsets and added 2 more. gonna increase budget to $50 per day. i expect to be overall negative at the start... but once i build up a handful of winning adsets, things should start balancing out. i think i'm down less than $50 total at this point? once all the ad costs and start up costs have been deducted from the revenue

    wow, some guy just bought 7 products at full price, now that's a great way to start the day lol

    yeah, so i'm profitable now. i think i'm up $40. only took me 5 days of advertising, sweet. now how to spend the profits? more ads? i don't think i have enough money to tackle lookalike audiences yet. if i want to set up 5 different percent adsets at $5 per day i would need at least $25 per day to test one set of lookalikes... so yeah, i'm gonna wait until i have more money. then gonna do lookalike by 95% video views, targeting my most profitable countries

    the sale came from an adset that i was legit getting ready to turn off. turned it off last night actually, but turned it back on last minute because it was still just a little bit profitable despite spending $10-12 in the past 3 days with no sales. but suddenly... bam $107 sales, good lord

    got 2 more orders today. things are popping off. i'm up $50 right now. started the store exactly 1 week ago, finished it in 2 days, advertising for 5 days. already profitable

    Very nice man, I have really shied away from using any paid ads but I am loving your journey. Keep it up you will get there.. sounds like its partially a game of collecting and understanding the data. This sounds fun to learn im going to put this on my to do list when im not broke af :)

    use bigspy and follow gabriel method you will surly suGabriel method now i am easily earn $1000 a day. Never face issue with product selection always got sell in first day. Yes still learning fb ads scaling way.

    i just bought zipify one click upsell. i'm going to be researching how to properly add these upsells to my store. need a few hours to get this up and running and fully optimized. unfortunately have work everyday for the next week so will be struggling to find time

    i heard that one click upsells will double my average order value at the least. so... yeah, learning how to use this and getting on it fast is a no brainer. i definitely do want to jump on those extra profits
