Dropshipping From Outside US. Will this work?

Just a question for all those who have a lot of experience already.

Alright, here's the thing:

Im from the Philippines and I know labor is pretty cheap here (heck my writer is a Cum Laude grad and havent written an article for months ).

I just want to know if dropshipping will work if I base it from here?

Here are a few more questions:
> Will big affiliate sites approve e-commerce websites from outside US?

> What will be the major disadvantage of basing it here?
