Is it worth drop shipping stuff from China? I can get basically anything here that is very good quality and am interested in either selling wholesale to people or drop shipping to the customer on behalf of others. Are people interested in this?

I actually have a question about shipping from China. Is there an import tax to send things to the United States? (particularly electronics) I'd consider buying things but I'd hate to get smacked with some giant import tax.

I use to ship shoes from china alot, i never got hit with a import tax...i did busines in the replica business for 2 years never had a issue

I believe you can get hit with an import tax. Every item leaving or entering the United States has to go through customs.

i believe taxes are avoided when the item is listed as 'gift' ? correct me if im wrong though...

its true, you dont get taxed if its labeled as gift, I dont think they even search the item if its a gift, but it depends if your dropshipper is ok with labeling it as a gift..

I have had good success with suppliers in China but make sure you do your research because you can easily get scammed. 99% of them will label your package as a gift.

Tradetang.com - I get my DVDs there and have good luck selling them lately in online stores for good profit per dvd set - i dont know if my site got picked up in search engines or its christmas time but the dvds have sold a lot more this month.

I have had luck with China dropshippers. Just check them out asking lots of questions. All of my Chinese companies I work with label the item as a "gift" so no tax is added on.

There is no such thing is great quality items from China, there are good and shitty, shit that may last a week and others that may last a month and so on, now lets get in the whole idea of dropshipping shit from china, your telling me if you bought a dvd on ebay and it took 10-15 days to get to you, then when it does you have to sign for it cause it came in using EMS, then to top off you get a package from china red flags say its bootleg, now 2nd thing it gets taken by customs who gets the letter not you, but your buyer saying the product was seized etc, now they are out of money and you best believe they prob will call to find out why, customs says its bootleg, now you have a bigger problem to deal with, everyone thinks that anything you do on the netz is get rich quick and can hide behind the webz, blackhat is one thing, selling shit that carries a bigger fine then drugs is another thing, but other then that get yourself several spots to ship the imports to, change ya name, the city its coming in as, split your packages to no more then 10lbs or less

You can only get so many gifts, and samples before your flagged, this is why you start off with 100% packages making it in, then 8 of 10 and so on
