I want to begin selling, but because I have not sold anything yet, paypal will hold my funds. I'm sure you heard this before, but if I'm starting from scratch, how can i use the funds from the sale to send the item?
I learned that ebay allows you to access funds after 3 days if you give them tracking information, but that requires that I had already ordered the item. What can I do?

you need to start with at least enough funds to cover operations until you get money from paypal. if you don't you're looking at whole host of issues that can sink you.

Unfortunately nothing but wait it out. I went through the same thing and what I did was start with my budget meaning what I could afford to purchase then scale the price to make a profit. Didn't spend the profit but held it for a bigger item or more items until they stopped holding the money. Hope this helps.

They are correct, there's no way around it. Maybe try getting aged eBay account may help.

gL jet. They may say 3 days after you put in tracking but it took me about 7 days to get the money into my account. After awhile paypal just removed the hold for me on any of my transaction. I used my credit card until i was able to use the funds. Where are you drop shipping from?

It's 3 days after DELIVERY, not after you enter tracking #s. Having access to funds 7 days after shipment is probably normal.

7 days if you add tracking. You should receive payment after delivered and feedback is given from buyer. Only way to remove the holds are to have established seller feedback for 90 days.

Sell at least 25 items with great feedback and at least $250 then eBay will no hold your money. I will recommend you to start with low risk product. Then when you will get no hold then you can able to post high risk item. So no problem with that.
    Thanks

That's inaccurate. 90 days + $2500 in sales + above standard seller = no holds on paypal

@OP If you're dropshipping start with $500, purchase an ebay store subscription, sell items that cost $10 or under to fulfill, and just sit on it for three months. Once you wait it out you can create 7 more accounts under that paypal and NONE of them will have paypal holds.

That's when you scale and bank

1 paypal to 1 ebay account. If you have multiple accounts selling same thing eBay will ban you for trying to skirt the selling limits.

You can still run up to 8 accounts per paypal. They just cannot list the same items

Correct me if I'm wrong Tom :)

well, might as well spend 10 more minutes and have independent accounts so they don't all go down at once if something goes wrong

You'd be fronting orders across all accounts. Once you get the holds removed from your paypal utilize that!

I agree that you should have ebay strings across multiple paypals.. but fill each paypal up

There's no point in risking getting multiple linked accounts banned when it's just as easy to build one stealth paypal as you can do 10. Don't be lazy. That is one of the cardinal sins of running stealth accounts.

I don't believe he's using a stealth. Still, I suppose that makes sense.. you're waiting 3 months for every single account to be able to sell without holds then. Don't really have the money to start a bunch of accounts since each account usually costs me around $150 in fees per month before fronting orders

What selling limit are you getting your stealth's at? I'm finding ultra's (500 limit) for $400.. which is maddeningly frustrating since that's what anybody that has a strong account connection can start with for free.

I imagine you're starting with 100 and slowly building

Remember, the point of stealth is to make sure that account takedowns for any reason don't put you out of business. It's not just to hide your real info from eBay. Having linked accounts defeat this purpose.

Yes, but since I'm not selling risky or vero stuff and I keep well under 5% defect rate, my accounts don't go down. If I'm pounding 5-6 accounts hard, I have another 5-6 backups aging so I'm always ready to list items. An account usually costs me around $150 in fees per month before fronting orders[/QUOTE]

$150 seems way too high. My monthly costs per account are $7 for a burner phone and $8-14 for a bank account and that's pretty much it. Once an account gets established, I will put a VPN or VPS which is less than $15/mo.

My biggest started as a 10/1000 right when they started putting on account limits. I have bought accounts and made my own and while I think either is fine, I like to make my own because I can take time to slowly build it.

Beginning to make a lot more sense

In order to keep 100% positive feedback I subscribe to an ebay store, this gives me automated emails, auto relist, and a bunch of other really useful tools. I drop ship off of amazon so I also use an automated tool that monitors amazons constantly fluctuating prices and changes my eBay prices in real time. It also serves as a batch lister and costs $50/month

    1. How many accounts do you run?
    2. You're setting up different bank accounts for each account? Could you please explain both this and your burner phones?

I was going to run each account on it's own private proxy but I'm assuming a VPS can run all your stealth accounts. Would they be able to link those/ are you using a different VPS per account?

That is insane. You're building up to 40 items per account by the time your paypal holds are off (3 months in).. How is this profitable?

I have about 20-30 live accounts.

yes, each ebay has its own paypal and bank account. Remember, you don't have to link a bank account to a paypal until you're ready to withdraw. Since I don't need to withdraw money right away, I don't withdraw until I get the first limit increase. If anything goes wrong, I don't have to burn a bank account. Each account also has a phone attached to it, just in case I have to call in. eBay can see what number you're calling in from and whether you're calling in from a real phone or a service like google voice.

Each account has its own virgin IP VPS or VPN account.

All my profits come from 4-6 accounts I'm pounding. The purpose of accounts I'm not pounding is to get higher limits and build selling history, not make money on them.
