    Hello,

I hope this is the right section, as the Dropshipping section here is mainly about suppliers. Anyways, i found a decent local PC/Electronics dropshipper and im thinking of starting to sell items on Amaz0n or Eb4y.

So basically, i wanted to find out...if someone here have done this in past, how much did you make/are making?

    Thanks.

Dropshipping can be profitable, though the problem with popular sites like the 'bay are that once someone discovers the same dropshipper you have been using, its likely that you are going to have some competition driving down your profits since so many people view it as an easy outlet to sell their stuff. Great for the consumer, though not so good for you in this case. Ive ran into this problem way too many times, and was forced to basically stop selling items that were profitable to me.

What I would suggest is that you ride the gravy train and sell on the said popular sites, but be prepared with your own storefront in case competition drives you out on those sites. Hell, you can rake in a few extra sales doing so for the time being while places like eb@y are your main retail front. I know of joomla plugins that make it really easy to set up a storefront right away that I or another member could point you to..

Anyway, I sell a complete series DVD set of a popular TV show via ebay and make about $70 after the fees per DVD set (3 or 4 sold per week). Its only been a few weeks, and I am suprised no competition has really popped up so far. Im not expecting to be alone for much longer, and I view drop shipping as a short term thing..

    Hope this helps!

Dropshipping is all about buying low and selling high.

If you there is a demand for a product that you can buy low and sell high, then you will be able to make it in dropshipping.

On that note, you have to make sure what you are selling is good quality. Don't sell anything that is shit or you will end up losing out big time.

Find a niche. Tag on for shipping (just ordered a microsd card $12 shipping ebay, came with $1 stamp:confused:) Buy, low..Sell, high. Find some local items on CL, Sell them on ebay.

I think that he means that you should setup an online store.. And once the competition is to fierce on Bay your store should be somewhat up in the SERPS so you make sales there..

Well i usually research forums where they talk about all the different dropshippers and dropshippers are also active in the forum with 1+year membership and positive reviews. Also usually all the good dorpshippers will ask for your monthly membership which usually costs around 30-50$. Anways thats what i found through my research from last few days.

Theres a growing amount of dropshipping companies out there, the problem is the ones which are actively out there are often promoting their dropshipping services whilst selling retail too. To make any real money with dropshipping you need to be contacting wholesalers and asking if they'll dropship for you rather than finding a dedicated dropshipper. (just my 2 cents)
