I regularly look at dropped domain names for domains that already have good backlinks pointing to them.

I registered one today that has some good links from authority sites. Looked at the site via archive to see what kind of site it used to have on it. The site was actually very nice and professional with a LOT of good content,

I know it's probably not right but what are your thoughts about bringing a site back from the dead and re-adding all the old content that the previous owner had on it?

Personally if I let a domain name drop that had a site on it with content I wouldn't mind if someone else used the content but that is just me, I know most people will probably be pissed about it.

Has anyone ever done this before and if so did you get the site ranking again. Another thing I noticed is the domain is still ranking for some keywords...

    So - Yay or Nay
Ok to do or do not do it??

I think that can only be the best way to go about it because it might even look to Google that the domain lapsed by mistake and now the site is back up with the same content as previously. I don't see issues in it especially given that the previous owner let it lapse.
