Hello,
I have a small scale dropservice business, and until now I had no idea what to do with it. I was with a few agencies and get a job here and there, just not enough for it to be sustainable. Since beginning of this year I had only 8 jobs from 3 agencies, and made a whooping profit of 760 Dollars. That's little over 125 dollars a month only. It's okay, so far, but it didn't scale up as I hoped it would.

My plan now is to build a website, buy (maybe scrape) an email list and contact as many people as possible and see if that converts into work.

Is that a good approach? Is there a better approach?

Yes, it's a good approach.

Try to get only targeted emails with in your niche and make your emails look personal.

Clean your list first.

Okay, sounds great then. Now I wonder where do I buy email lists. I am looking at the marketplace right now but don't see any. Do i need to make a request or something?

You can get your targeted B2B list by using LinkedIn with sales navigator and scrape your list with a tool like IcyLead or KleanLead.

You can get Sales Nav at a cheap price here, I think I've seen someone selling it on BHW marketplace or you can get it from FB groups.

Or post on WTB section to get a list that match your target audience.

Good luck

When I send those emails, should I use my domain-email, or should I get an email address specifically just for cold-emailing?

Never use you primary domain. Buy other domain names with different extensions or use some free Gmail accounts.

This question was pure instinct, as I am bit of a newbie. Glad I asked. Is there anything else I need to watch out for?

Is it not better to connect with those people on Linkedin straight away?

Also IcyLead and KleanLead do not have the emails of all the potential leads, or a lot of the times they are even wrong or old business ones so it gets even trickier.

You will need to clean the emails.

Yes, you can use LinkedIn cold outreach also using TexAu (pay attention to LinkedIn limits)

Or combine LinkedIn and cold emails by sending emails to those who didn't accept to connect with you on LinkedIn.

yes, it's a very good approach, I hope you will be successful. Good luck

Thank you all for your support. Now I just need to figure out my clientel and where to find them. Sounds silly, I know, but it's not straight forward. Maybe I should just contact agencies to funnel work to me. Hm.

Try Facebook and reinvest all money into something like ads, then remarketing.

If it doesn't snowball, it will be just too small to make it worthy of continuing.
