Is here anyone who dropped out of school to continue IM journey?

Please share your thoughts, how it was, was it worth it, do you regret it ?
This would help me a lot . :)

Yeah, it's all about what you want to do & where you wanna be in life. My views on college & schooling are quite objective to others due to an innovative mindset but if you don't exactly plan on working for someone ever then you shouldn't be relying on a degree as most people do in the form of "job security".

i would advise against it though. you never can tell with IM. keep something to fall back on.

Bill Gates dropped out of college to start a
    little software company called Microsoft.

From what I hear, he did quite well :)

That being said, I think it is good idea to finish your education
and get your diploma or degree. At the very least, it will serve
you well in times when you are still struggling in IM.

    Cheers! - "Wiz"

well its not about security, min salary here is $400/month so its small, i could get then in IM with 100 fiverr gigs lol so thats something else

since there is internet, there is opportunities

yeah i guess he did quite well lol

it would be like backup kinda, but for real, when you go full time IM, i dont think you need any real backup, when you have future plans and goals

    And there comes my problem.

I would love to be bill gates, and therefore maybe I would benefit from not going to college.

On the other hand, I just can't see myself dropping out without knowing I have at least a 50/50 chance of being successful.

And then there's the problem where I probably won't make nearly as much as I could getting a traditional job, online. Typical business major from a top business school, who gets an MBA is going to be making more than 99% of 'internet marketers,' other than the top 1% of IM'ers.

The other thing is that not every person who drops out will become the next Bill Gates, it's like 1 on a thousand. I highly recommend that you continue at school until you have a degree at hands.

Why? Make enough money while you are at school FIRST and then all decisions are easier.

Idk really, i have bad results because i work in night and miss school a lot an i get bad grades, if they stay and i dont fix them, im out so its win = win kinds

Bill Gates also happened upon a once-in-the-history-of-the-universe lucky break with IBM. You are the one who has to decide if you want to roll the dice on that.

Bad grades are better than no grades. And you should know that IM is not easy - if you can't put time to do school and IM, don't think it will be that easier to do it without school. You 'll have many distractions to fill the "extra" time. You need to work on your drive and dedication.

Actually, you should see it as a blessing in disguise. Consider it as your training in hard conditions. Manage your way successfully in this lack of time, and you 'll acquire a valuable skill fro the rest of your life.

There 's no time? Make time. I know it 's a cliche, but it 's true. Track your time and start eliminating things you do but don't really have to. You 'll be amazed to see how much time gets lost everyday without us noticing it.

Its because of society, all kids are raised like : Go to school, get good grades, graduate well, and get good job and live your dream, but in reality, its just wrong and i havent seen much people who follows these steps

That makes me think about this whole crap as well... Im not like other people and society who are raised with that mindset
