Hey, I`ve been doing email/zip submits for the past five months, now I am thinking about trying to start working with 'download-install offers'. The thing that worries me A LOT in email/zip submits niche is shaving and I just wanted to ask you guys if download/install offers shave you too If they ad-ware won`t convert well? (I am talking about quality targeted traffic). Thanks.

Personally speaking, I haven't had too much luck with download/install offers. Probably worse luck than email/zip submits even.

You will have better luck with providers that do nothing but DLS - Pinball and the like.

    This ^

Stick with ppi networks like Pinball. I tried those ppi (games, smileys, etc.) that some CPA networks have and had bad conversions.

They are kind of hit or miss, I think. I looked at my data of 30,000+ clicks with adscend... Some of the campaigns I have sent clicks to didn't get one conversion.

In general the ones that did convert to some extent (gamevance primarily is what I have sent enough clicks to obtain some sort of data and actually got some conversions) had a lower conversion rate but the average CPA can often be higher than a zip submit and the conversion rates are of course still higher than cell offers for sure. So in the end the EPC on the gamevance offers are right in the neighborhood of the email submits and cell offers (which I should say have had many times more clicks than any download offer which means the data is more solid for those.)

For instance I had 936 clicks getting me 65 leads for a 6.9% conversion rate, with an average CPA of $1.98 resulting in 0.14 EPC on one of my gamevance offers.

For a cell offer with a comparable number of clicks sent I got 1126 clicks 23 leads (only 2% CR) but the CPA is $9.25 so my EPC is $0.19... but I had an EXTREMELY gullible target demographic.

On my email submits in general I ended up with more than double the conversion rate of the gamevance offer.... but my EPC actually ends up lower, say $0.12 or so, because the CPA is only like $0.85 on many of them.

I should have had a better paying offer up but I was working with their gateway which lets you block offers and designate preferred offers but it still supposedly "optimizes" things automatically... you can't pick and choose easily... live and learn. I calculated it and I would have had a EPCs more in the area of $0.15 if I ran an offer paying $1.25 CPA

So basically what I learned here is it depends on how good your email/zip submits pay in comparison to the download offers you are looking at, and then finding a download offer that actually converts...

Shaving and scrubbing can just as easily go on with download offers as email submits so I think it would all be in finding the right offer and network to work with regardless of offer type.

not forgetting Pinball, Loudmo toolbar triggers Anti virus warning on many AVs.

So do the DLS ads on CPA networks, though. AV warnings is the name of the business.
