First of all, I know this is not internet marketing related, but it also isn't warez, it's an open source tool that i imagine will be very useful to most ppl using this forum.

By the quantity of replies of ppl complainting about uploads being hosted in rapidshare(i also hate rapidshare), and now with mediafire and those crazy popups or popunders, the best way is to avoid completly going to the sites to download.

    So here is the solution:

    jDownloader
is FREE and open source software that helps with downloading files from sites like Rapidshare.de and Megaupload.com. It also lets you download YouTube videos.
It is written in Java and its source code available for anyone to modify.

Download these web sites, with or without premium account, automatically.
It also supports encrypted links sites, you should only paste these links and jDownloader will do the rest.
    Features:

    • Platform independent. (Windows, Linux, Mac, ...)
    • Runs on Java v1.5 or later
    • Complete Open Source (GPL)
    • Support the 24h
    • Download several files in parallel
    • Downloading with multiple connections
    • JD has an own powerful OCR module (JAntiCaptcha)
    • Decrypt RSDF, CCF and DLC file cabinets
    • Plugins decryption for many services. Sj.org eg, UCMS, WordPress, RLSLOG ...
    • video and Mp3 Download: Youtube, Vimeo, clipfish
    • Self-Extractor (including password list search) (Rar file)
    • Support of topics
    • Multilingual
    • About 110 servers and over 300 plugins decryption
    • Re JDLiveHeader Scripts connection with: (1400 router supported)
    • Web Update
    • Package Manager integrated additional modules (eg, Web Interface, Off the OS)
    See some screenshots here
    Code:
    http://www.jdownloader.org/home/screenshots
Check the website of the developer for your OS version download
    Code:
    http://www.jdownloader.org/download/index
Or visit the website to show your support to the developers
    Code:

I use this for ages, and i love it, constant updates to reflect changes in filehosting sites, and the part i like the most, it can send a disconnect and reconnect signal to my router so i can get a new IP and start another download from Rapidshare without the 15min wait time ;)

    NJOY

I think this one should be stickyed :D

yeah, for persons with a static IP the disconnect/reconnect will not work.

But you can still queue all your downloads and just wait for them to finish.

    -_-?
Static IP must wait 15 minutes after every *big* file download.
I've tried JDownloader with Hotfile and Rapidshare and it works like a charm.
But sometimes the file just stuck at a certain percent of completion before auto restart from 0MB.
    Kinda frustrating though.

have you tryed to send the support a bug report about that matter? if you use it you know they update it very frequently and maybe it's something very easy to fix but probably ppl don't even bother to send them the bug reports and that way it's hard for them to fix it.

I'm using transload websites to download without waiting. Some of them are damn fast but they put stupid survey to enter in.
