I obviously didn't do enough research on the movie streaming site niche, but essentially I bought a done-for-you movie streaming site off BHW and then proceeded to spend $3000 in SEO over the last 4 months stupidly thinking that the SEO would be enough. I had no clue just how competitive this niche' actually was and now I'm paying the price for lazily hopping into it.

Needless to say, I'm getting my @$$ kicked here. I decided to start some Social Media accounts about a month ago out of desperation to get things moving more, but Instagram is yielding little to no results so far and Pinterest and TikTok have been a bust. I get huge engagement on Instagram (2000-5000 likes and a few comments) every few posts but they hardly convert to followers or website views. I have a bot running for Instagram atm to follow and unfollow so I can focus on the other platforms as well.

Two things iv heard people having great success with are Reddit and Parasites.

Reddit is beyond me though. I can't find anywhere to post my damn links there without having them instantly removed or getting banned from a subreddit, lol. I literally just started using Reddit a few weeks ago and it's pretty confusing to me. Also, the 15 minute wait time after a failed post is pretty annoying.

As for parasites, I think I understand them? You basically find sites to post your links and then blast them with GSA backlinks? Can someone explain this a bit better to me or is that the gist of it?

Anyhow, any feedback, hints, or tips would be appreciated. I've been reading journeys and previous threads of people in this niche and there isn't much more to go off of other than SEO, social media, and parasites. The parasite thing is the most confusing to me right now but it sounds like the most promising. I bought an ebook off here too and the seller claimed that the traffic he got from Reddit alone was enough for him to be happy with but he doesn't say much else about it. Kind of a bummer for a $60 ebook. Anyways, I'm ranting. I appreciate you all.

With $3.5k budget, you could've ranked an affiliate site and turned it into a passive income source. You're not 123movies or fmovies to rank your site with SEO budget. The newbie players in the market should drive traffic through other channels like parasites, youtube, social media etc. This is something that most people don't understand about movie streaming niche.

firstly:
for social media, you create 'fan pages'
you should have atleast 1000-2000 video clips ready to auto-post and same with images/memes(clips do better though)
secondly:
reddit and posting your link? nah youll get removed straight away.
you create memes and add your website as a watermark. some subreddits allow 'developer' posts to promote your site too
thirdly:
parasites is different here.
you create another website that has no movies, only imdb info and links to your money site. so like a movie review site.
fourth...ly?:
yes everyone says keyword ranking is the key, and it really is!
now most website themes will automatically add longtail keywords in, or ull spin the text.
if hes just given you the site and its a copy of another site with no change, then u gotta spin it all urself.
add something like "Free movies (your domain) (123movies)" or like that(only quick suggestion as i just woke up and not gonna research anything)

now with the site you bought and the ebook you bought... most of them are terrible. from my experience...
when buying a site, u gotta know where those movies are hosted, or 6+ months down the track, u could lose everything since u dont have access/backup of the movies.
the ebooks are all basic. i have yet to see a single ebook that actually is properly helpful.
theyre just "post on reddit" or "add new movies" the real basic stuff.
nothing about domain ghosting, security, what bots u need or anything.

do yourself a favour.
slow down.
stop spending money on SEO!!!
do you know how much ive spent OVERALL(domains, servers, etc) for the 20ish sites i run? maybe $1000-$2000.
probably $1000 i wasted in learning at the beginning.

get a few parasite websites cranking(make sure u use an autospinner, doesnt matter if the words sound horrible/spins horribly)

get 10-20 facebook pages ready
get roughly 5 reddit, insta, twitter, etc accounts

accounts/pages created.
now download the video clips/pictures and make them all ready and watermarked

bot up facebook pages for the video clips and pics (they can link to your parasites)
bot up the others with watermark memes/pics(watermark only)

now spin ur money website movie info while the bots are doing ur seo work for you.

thats all i got for now.
theres other stuff like discord, GSA, adding yourself to movie site lists and things like that, but thats what u gotta have done first.
to be honest, u wanna sort out where those movies are kept too. that would be a big issue for me.
for $100 a month you can get a 32TB server which is much safer for your movie database.

oh and lastly, again, dont waste ur money on ebooks, u can get alot of info from "my journey" threads.
if you see someone selling an ebook or movie site without a "my journey" previous post, to me, thats a lot of red flags(not all cases) since u dont actually know thats what theyve been doing at all.

people might see things differently than what ive posted, but thats from my experiences in the movie streaming business.

Why aren't you asking this questions to the guy that sold you the site?
Didn't it came with instructions of use?
$3.5k on SEO is too far out, with this you could have ranked a lot of long tails just by using parasites and sape links to them.
Go read this thread by @Rachmaninoff
https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/method-proof-make-10k-month-with-micro-streaming.1117573/

The site came with instructions to stay anonymous, how to monetize, and a basic SEO guide. It has free and paid sources but nothing about leveraging parasites or going in-depth about social media usage etc. They also ''knew'' someone who did special SEO for movie streaming sites so I tried that for 2 months before pulling out. I was never given a report of any of the work being done so I felt uncomfortable throwing my money at a source that wasn't completely transparent with me. They did grow the site by 2000 UV a day though which was nice, then it took a dive back down to 500 UV a day. I tried other SEO services the last 2 months and they managed to drop me to 300 UV a day. Anyhow, I'm pretty discouraged but I'm still pushing. I'll read through that Journey today. I actually bookmarked it last night when I was looking for content to learn from.

Yeah, I tripped up big time on this one. They had a ''special'' SEO service for movie streaming sites and said some of their clients had good results so I went for it. They did get me to 2000 UV a day but once it dropped down to 500 UV and I was never given a report I stopped paying for the service. I just didn't feel comfortable throwing money at an invisible entity while they play middle man and give me 0 info on what's being done behind the scenes. Desperation makes people do crazy shit I guess. So I bought into the website and SEO service.

lol what? Movie streaming is probably the easiest niche.
You probably just screwed with poor seo srvices.
Also you didn't wait 6 months, so you was and are in the sandbox.

I started 2 months ago a site in the same niche, 0 offpage seo and I'm already getting up to 40 current users, this niche is so easy you rank on autopilot withouth having to do anything offpage really, just focus on having a lot of movies (I have 34000 movies right now) and that's all

Also I built this database by my own, didn't take shortcuts. I don't trust buying the website from other people since they sell the same website to everyone and google spot duplicate sites easily.

Firstly I'd like to thank you for the lengthy reply. This is packed with good info. The watermark on clips is a great idea. All I've been doing on Instagram and TikTok is sharing videos with a call to action (Follow my page, You can watch the full movie in my bio) but that hasn't been the best so far. I'll start watermarking everything going forward.

The package of the website I ordered (Their most expensive for $1000) is supposed to be optimized to kick start SEO so I imagine everything was pre-spun since the English are fairly broken sounding. I definitely have no clue where anything is hosted or how that even works. I just have a scraper that autoruns every 6 hours. So if links go down I have no clue how to get them back up, but I do have unlimited support so I can ask. I just feel like a jackass every time I ask for help, lol. I don't want to sound like a needy customer that expects to have his handheld through the whole process.

But yes, paid SEO has been completely stopped this month and I've switched focus to social media and trying to better understand leveraging parasites. I got my first Facebook fan page banned because I was posting clips that linked directly back to my site, so a lesson was learned there. Do you use bitly for the links to your parasite on Facebok?

As for spinning my websites descriptions, I would literally have to go through 50-60k videos. I don't know if that's even doable at this point since it updates the database every 6 hours.

I appreciate the effort put into this comment brother. Times are tough so I'll take any info I can get my hands on.

If you really want to make money in this niche (and basically any other niche), you need to get your hands dirty. Build a site from scratch, learn how to optimize onpage and offpage, and spend time analyzing stats to understand your users. That’s the only way you can have success in this niche. There is no shortcut.

I feel for you. I wish you get right, Genuine SEO provider. And it will help your site on top.

You could look into both free and paid traffic on facebook. I think it might work but you definitely would need be to watermark your videos.

just bail dude. sounds like you're spending months of time and money to incriminate yourself? movie streaming??? jeez

who sold it to you? sounds like he was sending fake traffic to fool you with fake metrics

is it wordpress or CMS?
hit the basics first
u should have something like rankmath installed
u should make sure ur robots.txt has all the links.
check our GSC and ahrefs for whats actually working too

but definitely dont spend any unnecessary money.
check where that scraper is scraping movies from & make sure u have minimal to no ads in the videos

just bail dude. sounds like you're spending months of time and money to incriminate yourself? movie streaming??? jeez
I know I should cut my losses at this point considering the nature of it. But I've spent too much now to be able to shrug it off as a loss.

Another SEO provider suggested that too. He said the fact that the viewers dropped right around the time I had to renew my SEO sub was kind of suspicious. I don't know though, I don't want to throw anyone under the bus. I'll just chalk it off as me not doing enough.

not surprised, @lakerr profile is private. to me that is an scam artist
He offers a good service. The work he did was incredible. He also answers any questions I have related to the site. My shortcomings have nothing to do with the service he provided me just to be clear. Any issue I have is due to my own lack of understanding. He's really only selling a done for you product which was delivered and I am happy with it. I just wish I did more in the last 4 months instead of just relying on SEO.
@lakerr offered me a review copy, to build a movie site for me. Pm-ed me for the details. After my answer he disappeared...I can agree with you.
I'm not sure what happened with your review copy but his service is legit. I've never owned a WordPress streaming site though, so I can't compare his vs one of those. But I see there is a seller on BHW selling them for $30 right now so I might snag one just so I can actually compare how big of a difference it is. That being said, I'm not trying to throw anyone under the bus with this thread. The site is super fast, it came with a control panel where I can track my analytics, manage my ads, scraper, and a whole bunch of other things. It's really well made. Again though, I'm in the wrong for thinking I could rely on expensive SEO services to carry me while I worked on other projects. So now I'm just picking up the pieces. I don't want this thread to sound like I'm demonizing his product. He delivered what is promised. After that, how well the site does falls on the buyer. So in my case, it's not going very well, haha. But that's why I'm asking questions and trying to follow in the footsteps of other successful people in this niche before me.

I think he buyed from @lakerr
in my opinion, @Futurex has the best solution, since I have repeatedly seen his websites in the top 10 positions of google
Thank you MrDre for recommending my service.
