Just wanted to post a quick thread to motivate all of you domainers.. I recently reached my goal of €3000 a month.
This wouldn't have been possible if a friend of mine didn't advice me to change domain parker. I almost doubled my revenue the first month of the change. Here is a screenshot to get you guys motivated!

interesting way to make money , i guess you have tons of domains with lots of traffic on them,or maybe you buy the traffic?

I've never understood the domain parking business.

If a domain is getting traffic, why not put up a decent website on it and monetize it to the full extent?

I crossed the 200 line 4 months ago and I buy between 1 and 5 domains each month so it should be close to 220. Depends on the monthly budget but I normally reinvest 50% of my revenue. I might spend it all on one domain or spread it out to buy more..

I started domaining from the beginning of my IM carreer, which was about 5 years ago. I occassionally bought domains in auctions and picked up quite a few highly searched EMDs (back then it was still possible :p) But domaining is a set-to-forget thing so it wasn't and still isn't my main source of income.

There are a couple of reasons actually.. Parked domains usually have a much higher ctr so the same domain would generate less revenue with adsense for example (if not ranked of course). Also, parked domains are set-to-forget, whereas websites take a lot more effort to maintain.

No.. have to admit that I tried it on a side account with a couple of low value domains but it's not worth the trouble. Your domain parker easily discovers your traffic source as parked domains only have one traffic source which is type-in (or some old backlinks maybe) Besides the EPC with bought traffic is WAY lower -> Better to keep it clean and invest in some quality domains with natural traffic

Wezzy - Thanks for the reply

    wow 200 domains,

do you maintain them - what I mean is build backlinks to them or anything else.

    Thanks

First off, congrats! And second, you can do better then Sedo.. Parked.com has had better rates then Sedo for a long time and now also that company from Frank Schilling (can't remember the name just now..) is out there and supposed to be the best of the best, but i don't know if you have enough volume to get accepted yet..

Parked also has some restrictions, but they are much easier to get in. If i were you, i wouldn't stop at Sedo. Good luck! :)

Yeah I looked into some other domain parkers too but I like the auction market of sedo. You can get some great deals and since I'm currently reviewing my portfolio for the least earning domains I will probably sell them there too. I just like the all-in-one package sedo can offer

be careful with sedo -- i had about 100 domains parked there and one of them I picked up in a drop -- for some reason they didn't like the traffic it was getting and disabled my entire account. I then moved all my domains over to afternic and they didn't like the traffic on this domain either, but they only disabled the one domain. I made a bit more on afternic than I did sedo. I'm thinking of giving namesilo a try.

    Hey Wezzy -

Im mega keen to learn more

You think you could put a ebook course together - or show me how and I will put one together -

I think the areas that are a little unclear is - for parked domain then is EMD a must ? - do you use Google trends and the likings to find your niches ? are aged sites better then new ones and why only backlink once? - also do you look after onsite optimization or is it all to do with ranking for the Exact match keyword in the domain

real sorry for the questions - Feel free to PM me - would be happy to work with you and im sure we can help each other :)

    Thanks

    Abbs

On average, how many visitors a month does one of your websites get?

Talk about passive income! Well done. You have inspired me into include and plan for parking domains in my IM diversity.
