Doorways - what is your strategy?

There are many types of doorways for different purposes and with varying effort to build. What is the most succesful way?

What I did:
*** Cloaked doorway page to redirect to clickbank products ***
- I wrote my own doorway page generator which extracts text from different sources, -> markovs it <-, and puts additionally some extra keywords onto, if the keyword density is small.
- The text is submitted to a wp blog (default template) as a post.
- Each blog post ends with the keyword, e.g. .../buy-viagra-now.html
- Each single page is promoted with XRumer and the corresponding keyword, e.g. the page .../buy-viagra-now.html gets backlinks with the same anchor text.



So what? Limited succes, small amount of visitors. When I check the number of backlinks (just searching for "www.mydomain.com", google is very picky in the ultimate times to show up the backlinks), I got about 200 results. Daily about 10 visitors.

For instance, this would be interesting:
- do you have just a single page and spam it like hell, or do you evenly let backlinks point to different pages?
- do you use markov or clean content?

How many backlinks with yahoo?

How long and how many posts with Xrumer to get your 200 backlinks?

how many pages you have built?How long you'v been doing this? Just image if you build 40000 webpages and each of them receives 10visitors/day ... I think everything depends on quantity .

Sure, scaling up is no problem. But I want to know how to build a doorway most efficient before going big.

Wouldn't the methods change slightly based on the purpose of the page? For example a page looking for CPM wouldn't need such "rich" content and can get away with maybe markov method. But a page with a call to action or so with need maybe need more content that is not automatically generated, so as to let the user feel that it's not just some spam ad.

Still a noob; my head's spinning with so much info and am trying to figure out the best direction to take with my efforts

Since he is cloaking and redirecting that shouldnt be the case this time.
