Yes, They're very SUCK at the memory limit and THE FUCKING MYSQL SERVER. This is what I've sent to the damn full of shit supporters:

I've installed Gallery2 on PigQueen.com. It's provided by your auto installer in web panel. I have now 100 -> 200 visitors a day and uploaded about 10k images in pigqueen.com.

I don't know how much memory u limit this hosting plan but the SITE DOWNED LIKE CRAZY ! "INTERNAL SERVER ERROR!!!" I've never seen any hosting like this. I've used many hostings and got no trouble with gallery2, 10k pictures and over 1000 visitors / day.

Please have a good explain about this. I don't want an answer like: "Killed by total RAM limit" or something like that because you provided gallery2 in the web panel AUTO INSTALLER and I made it DEFAULT with no 3rd-party plugins. I can't understand that what the hell is UNLIMITED BANDWIDTH, UNLIMITED something BUT limited by the damn small memory limit or a BAD mysql server.

Yeah, I've ask many people and they have the same idea with me. Dreamhost mysql server is too bad, and .....

Please take care your customer a bit.

yes agree with u, same problem with me. i used WP blogs. they were suggesting me to upgrade. any ways, i swich over from them.

yes dream host is... not dream host, its a black spot on hosting.

You get what you pay for, invest in a quality hosting solution like a VPS or a dedicated server if you are serious about your work.

Can you suggest me a good cheap hosting ? Because I think that in this learning campaign, I don't need to use a dedicated server to host my craps :D I'm learning & practicing what I've learned. So, I think you guys was like me before and finding the cheapest ways to practiced. Am i right ? :)

Yes, thank you undeterminederror. I know this hosting company doing some tricks to get me upgrade their plan :p and I'm not that stupid ass to upgrade :)

Please, can you guy suggest me a nice cheap hosting just for praticing my stuff ? :(
 
maybe you should try byethost.. they're cheap and solid (based on my experience with 'em)

if you want use shared ones, go for ixwebhosting they have good packages with solid performance
 
They're only good for streaming videos or downloads. Or simply HTML files.

Forget anything MySQL related. Slow as molasses.

I recommend WebFaction.com - awesome guys, they're UK-based but the servers are in the US. I used to run a hosting company so I have pretty high standards.

I pay like $10/month for 10GB space/600GB bw. I've used over 400GB of bandwidth in a month and they had no problems with it. The hosting is also load-balanced (multiple servers joined together) so it won't go down. I've digg front paged with a default wordpress install and the server stayed up and was snappy/responsive.

I've been there for like 6 or 7 months and have had 0 mins of downtime.
 
Dreamhost is good for plain html websites. If you wanna use mysql based sites and plan to get over 100 visitors a day KEEP AWAY from Dreamhost, because they will shut you down.
 
Oh shit. I'm in big trouble, I have just moved all my sites from GoDaddy to Dreamhost

i use dreamhost with no troubles have 22 sites with 12 sub domains no trouble at all
 
Your so much better off just buying a VPS or a dedicated server, then you won't get bitched at for using a lot of RAM/CPU power. :) Host Gator are great for me, but don't allow image uploading (As far as I know anyway)

yes, I think you didn't use the host as much as I used because I have uploaded 11.000 high quality pictures in pigqueen.com ( Stocks included which size can up to 5-6MB / pics ) with "watermarked" and each picture have to be resized to 3 different sizes.

But I have experienced with this because I have a same site in my old hosting and got no trouble with that site at all, same configurations, all the same. GOD DAMN DREAMHOST !

THIS IS JUST A WARNING FROM YOU GUY WHO WANT TO HOST YOUR MYSQL BASED SITES WITH OVER 100 VISITORS / DAY - DONT GO TO THIS "NIGHTMARE HOSTING" (not a 'dreamhost' at all)
