Don't make this mistake - noob post

Hi,

I've been lurking a while and I thought I would share something for noobs.

I've had a site that I haven't maintained for a while... it was making me decent money years ago and steadily went downhill until I decided recently to try and bring it back to life. Skipping to the noob part, here's something for you to avoid. Back in the day (6 years ago... maybe more) when I launched this site trading links was the thing to do. As such I had an automated link directory, urls were static html which google loves apparently. Submissions could be made on the site, and I manually approved them and added them.

Fast forward a few years... I had 20,000 link requests which i automatically deleted... but that didn't stop the b***ards from backlinking my site where they thought their link would appear Probably someone from here

Anyway, my site is a health-related site, and here are the my major anchor texts as shown by ahrefs...

1) my main keyword targetted
2) arab teen o*ral
3) young teens nude photos
4) it just gets worse from here!!

I was like SERIOUSLY WTF guys

Anyway, I've got a ton of scraping disavowing to do tonight... thank goodness SB was a purchase I've made recently.

Moral of the story - don't have a links directory. Ever.
