    Hey guys,

I just thought I'd share a recent experience that I had with twitter the other night.

I registered about 7 twitter accounts using the gmail wildcard method (myemail@gmail.com, m.yemail@gmail.com, my.email@gmail.com etc.) only to wake up in the morning to find that they had all been suspended.

I'm not exactly sure why they did this - whether it was ip related or email related, I'm not sure.

So I thought oh well bugger that, that's the end of it then.

Fast forward a few days when I happened to log into one of the supended accounts and the idea hit me to change the suspended account's name to twitter.com/someothername with the hope that the url that I had previously registered would become available. And guess what... It' worked!

So I ended up regaining the twitter urls that I originally wanted... yay!

There is just one thing you have to be aware of and that is, when you are registering your main username again, the auto username search feature will tell you that the account is 'unavailable'. However, if you just go ahead and click the 'Create my account' button anyhow it will allow you to register it regardless.

So this worked for some of my suspended accounts, however if your account was actually deleted... well that would be a different story.

    Hope that helps.

    Ash
