yahootravel - like 1%. at 1/3 of their follower count, i can get same likes if i my photos were of their quality.
    travelandleisure 1.5%
travelgram 0.1% followers are likely fake.

many here have claimed 10% or even 30% i dont know how that is possible. thats unrealistic and i wouldnt aim for that.

In my niche - fashion, specifically retail - I only ever seen between a 0.9-1.3% engagement rate. It seems as though this is very much the norm, unless you are a brand with a lot of hype or external advertising, or your followers/likes are fake.

I agree, work smarter, not harder and aim for something achievable and normal. You don't have to re-invent the wheel.

Maybe your content needs to be more human based and not spinned?
Im not sure what is your strategy, you didn't explain so much so I cannot advice you yet based on my experience.
    Good luck mate.

What your engagement ratios are like depends on are 3 main factors:

    1. Are you bringing in outside eyeballs, or is this namespace your only mention of this across platforms?
    2. Is the content you're posting GOOD and engaging?
    3. What does your niche market look like? If you're another Fitness or Fashion page, you are likely to be fighting an uphill battle, jockying for position amongst the countless hoards of other accounts like yours. For example, I have an account for life in Sweden.. There are about a dozen or so other Swedish pages, but it's more specific and less generalized that a niche like Fitness, therefore there are less options out there for people to follow.

The key is to distance yourself from the rest, be better, and have outside eyeballs coming in (The best is from YouTube referring, if you have a YT channel, your engagement ratio should be really high comparably.)

In the motorsports niche engagement is quite awesome, it's not uncommon to be close to 10% even at 70K+

Most niches you actually get 3-5% yet everyone claims you should be getting 10%

I've seen many huge accounts with 1-2% of their followers in average of likes, and content with most likes at about 5%... Anything higher than that, specially for big accounts looks unrealistic, surely some accounts do have this feat, but still...

Higher than that only in my personal account, and other people's personal accounts (people who are not celebrities or web celebrities).

Usually 3-5% is average engagement. 10%+ is amazing, and the only way people get 30%+ is when they get on explore page all the time.
I have a few accounts where they only have like 10k followers but getting 2-3k+ likes since almost all my photos go on explore page, if it doesn't i'm at like 600-800 likes.

i thought the explore page is catered to your liking. it shows different stuff to everybody.
if you like cars often, it shows you cars, etc.

but i'd really like to know how one gets 2k likes, which i have heard many a time, with 10k or fewer followers.
i have 12k, and the most ive got is 450 with a funny post. (so far i have posted 240 photos.)
maybe my problem is most of my photos are reposts (no watermark but credit in captions)?
the tags i use are not that popular, but if i use popular tags, i dont get in top posts.

Niche is one of the most deciding factors when it comes to user engagement. Fashion/Skin shows gets better engagement than may be someone in Money making.

fashion and fitness have garbage engagement. probably because of very stiff competition out there! its easy to repost same pictures and get yours stolen and reposted on other accounts in those niches.

generally, bigger accounts (100k+) can not maintain engagement over 3%.

i've approved every single account on shoutcart, I've seen many!
