You first must understand the translation of the anchors. If it's anything related to porn, you can say goodbye to them. If not, they are useful, not as good as the ones that have english anchors, but definetly it's better than 0.

DO NOT buy sites with chinese backlinks ever.

Perform your due diligence tasks before buying domains for PBN. I have talked about domains and sleuthing techniques on my website. I will be doing here a tutorial on this topic soon though.

Try to ignore "PR" for once and see how many good domains you can find.

We don't want a website with Chinese backlinks for our "English" PBN. Why would anyone want a site with chinese anchors pointed to it for ranking a English site. Although there are many other factors to be considered. BUT these kind of domains are generally spammed to death.

Chinese anchors text aren't good for PBN, why ? Because they bring a lot of DA/PA but which can't be trusted because most of the times the website is spammed to death, it's why you have to do a deep inspection before buying your domain.

Motivation and patience is the master words, don't be too impatience or you'll lose everything, and your time.

Excuse my ignorance, but do people typically use PBN websites as T1 sites which then point to a money site? I'm just not sure why it would matter if the T1 sites have chinese backlinks unless you are paying a lot of money for them.

Most of the time Chinese language anchor texts are bad news but there are some exceptions - if the sites they are on are of a very high quality and the links are genuine (i.e. not comment links or profile links) then they can work or if there is a translate button and you can see what the page and the link actually say then this is also a way to work out how legit it is. But on the whole you'll want to avoid them.

The other major issue with Chinese characters in a back link profile that I've found is that they are 99% GSA spam.

I'm sure you all know that funny Chinese logo that pops up if you select all countries in the GSA program, it goes nuts and builds links with wierd Chinese characters in it.

For me that's the reason why I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole!
