how are you supposed to afford making a PBN when domains on godaddy are being bid for like $200-$400?

every day I spend like 6 hours organizing all the auctions that are ending that day and checking their backlinks. By the end of the day, I have bought nothing because everything is either garbage, or too damn expensive. what a waste of time.

There has to be a better way??

Well, these are authoritative domains and are powerful when utilized properly. Why do you think sellers charge so much when building links from their network?

Give yourself a goal. Say, 10 very good sites, no garbage and no suspicious sites.
I like to buy sites that actually do have visitors and rank for some KWs. Yes, you;re right, it takes between $200 and $1000 to buy these domains.
    So, let's say you buy 10, if each costs $300, that's $3000

Plus hosting + new articles + a design or something, this can go up to $4000-$5000 if you want to have real sites, and I mean real, not something that looks real but it's not.

If you don't want to go this way you can buy sites without visitors but with fair links. This can cost around $50-$100. Don't quit.

I wanted to build a network but ended up with a couple of sites with visitors, so now I am growing my sites, not doing any link selling or anything similar, just good sites with fresh articles daily/weekly.

If you buy quality you can always do something with that. If you buy crap you will get crap

You can also invest all your money in one expensive site. I noticed that at least 2 times each month there are sites with high PR (7 or 8), and you can get those for around $1,000-$2,000. I am talking about real PR and real sites here, but you gotta know how to recognize real site/PR. Once you get one of these babies you can nurture it and maybe sell it later for 10x what you invested in it.

PBN is going to an end very soon. Matt is likely hunting all "********" blogs he could think of, participating in any link schemes. look at what happened to websites which were listed on MBG (MyBlogGuest). all the websites literally received an instant manual penalty being involved in guest blogging and offer ******** links. Google spam team is more on killing all kind of link exchanges or schemes.

If you are talking about shit low quality, fake pr blog networks that are whoring for links and overselling on every IM forum them you might be right.

However we are talking about good quality Private......ie Personal networks here. Put together and used correctly they are powerful and dont raise any flags.

and you know Ann Smarty is still claiming she is against paid links. infect they were not paid as there was no payment to publishers but MBG was charging to all writers being their paid members. so who wins at the end? for sure MBG as they made good money out of this shit

What about using Scrapebox to find expired domains with PR and PA? Do they work as good for a PBN?

    1) what do you mean by "nurture"....how would you raise the value?
    2) cool, I had never thought about buying a domain for the purpose of visitors - do you keep the same niche, or completely change the niche?
    3) How many 300 dollar domains (which are probably PR3 or PR4) would I need to rank a competitive keyword (1000 searches, $200 cpc)

You can build powerful PBN with dropped domains, you pay reg fee for the domain, then $12/year for a shared hosting, and voila: you have a good PBN site for about $25. No need to spend hundreds of dollars on a domain.

cunts can't fuck a "private" blog network that easy.
(they will live until google changes it's ranking metrics from backlinks to something else.)

it took him soo much time to get my guest blogger down.
think about finding private blog networks of 1000+ people (there are more then that)
he is not going to check every niche manually , only problem is competitors who report your site.
