Domain typo: is it worth it?

    well, if it was .co or .om u would likely get some visitors missing a letter wanting the .com. but it wouldn't hurt to try it anyway with a generic name (don't get a trademark like microsoft.cm or they will sue!)

    This is interesting. Up until recently .cm domains were a wildcard and unless I'm mistaken, unavailable. It's tempting for sure but at $350 you need to be sure on the .cm you're grabbing....I'm thinking, thinking....

    My question to you would be, where would you assume that figure of $530,000? Because some other site "said" it was worth that? A domain like anything else is worth exactly what someone pays for it at the time of sale. Nothing more, nothing less.

    Second, you have missed the point entirely on the whole post. The question is: Is it worth it to buy (for example) ebay.cm and use your ebay affiliate code to redirect to the real ebay site? Or even if you had blackhatworld.cm and it redirected to a ppc filled site. That was the op's question.
