Hi all today my domain was suspended by enom. I got this email:

You are receiving this notification to inform you that one of your domain names XXXXXXXX.COM has been placed on registrar-hold due to abusive activity such as spam, phishing or other violations of eNom's terms and agreements.

If you feel that this action has been made in error, or that the abuse may have been the result of a security compromise, please contact legal@enom.com with any questions or concerns.

I am doing nothing illegal at all including phishing or spamming. My supplier does not ship or do anything illegal.

I am still working on getting more details but this is all I have right now. Does anyone know if I can get my domain back from Enom and how I can fight this bullshit.

    BEWARE ENOM.

This is what my supplier has said about this:

we will repeat here that in our opinion
those registrars in the USA (such as GoDaddy and eNom) that are acting based on letters from Legitscript are doing so without
any legal basis, if an affiliate has lost a domain in such circumstances we recommend that ICANN COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT
be contacted and a complaint against the Registrar is lodged. Contact ICANN Compliance Department at
compliance@icann.org. Remember Legitscript is just a private "organization" with no legal standing.

Legit script is a horrible organization that is pretending to be "do gooders" while they try to eliminate any form of online pharmacy competition through scare tactic letters etc..

You are exactly right. The are crooks and register any new domains at internetbs.net. The put a hold on my best domain and when it was released for renewal someone else got it so that sucked. I've seen them snooping around my other domains but not worried as i transerred everything out of namecheap.com. Namecheap is good but they comply with legitscript who are nobodys and not affiliated with the government so no reason why they comply but they do.

    Code:
    http://internetbs.net/en/faq/content/1/29/en/legitscript.html

How is this legal? Why can't I just transfer the domain....sigh.. this sucks.

yeah, domains lost for good til it expires. I was going to grab mine after that but someone else got it. It was #1 for a viagra term which i spent month working on. They will never do that to me again. :(

Move everything to internetbs.net they tried their tactics there it looks like and they didn't work. :) There should be a way to get it after it expires and not let someone else but I wasn't sure how but i'm sure people in this forum would know.

BTW: don't bother trying to work it out with legitscripts to lift the hold. they are for big pharmacy in the u.s. I changed out my links and emailed them and they said i am supporting non regulated pharmacies so wouldn't lift the hold. I responded with it's a pharmacy in Canada and they are regulated. They never replied! They get money from large pharmacy corporations in the U.S. and the owner worked in the Bush administration so has government contacts obviously.

You could fight it and probably win if everything that you sold is indeed legit and not anything that is regulated by the Feds. But honestly, that would cost you more money than I am sure you would want to put into it. Those BIG Corporations really know how to drag stuff out ( Just got done fighting my hospital bill and that took me almost a year -_- ). If you could create a new site, keep your supplier, and get your SEO back up, that will more than likely be the best money & time saving thing you could do.

Thanks for the info guys. I have already bought a new domain and I will be up and running in a few hours. Luckily my seo was only starting to bring in orders and my main traffic source is elsewhere. Still I will lose a ton of customers who reorder every month. My new domain is very close to the old one so hopefully they can find me.

Legit script is clearly created to help support their brand of pharmacies and reduce
Competition. It has nothing to do with quality or service. I am thinking of creating my own faux pharmacy program to "authorize" my sites as "legit" or whatnot. Legit script has no legal authority but look at what it can do.

hi, yes internetbs will shut your domain and the best place to register domains are eurodns or namescout these are the good domain registrar and the domain will be little bit costlier then other providers. thanks

What is stopping the guy from changing the A record to point to a new host? The domain name belongs to the guy until it expires, it is the A record that tells the DNS servers where to look for the domain. If the registrar is seizing the domain name in the absence of illegal activity, such as cyber squatting, the registrar is liable.

Yeah i'm sorry, i'm going to have to object. If your domain was snatched away by enom, you were doing something illegal. Enom wouldn't be so stupid as to snatch away a domain unless they had good cause. Running an online pharmacy targeting the US, Canada, or certain other jurisdictions IS illegal. You are lucky the 'feds' don't come after you and lock you up. Even if you are outside the US extradition laws still apply. Not trying to be a dick, and you can take from this what you will. I hope you you are smart and avoid continuing to do something that could land you in a lot of trouble. It's one thing to piss off google, it's another thing entirely to piss off a country.

Well, count out internetbs as they have caved to Legitscript so need another register to set up a few viagra domains. Any ideas? Email from internetbs says domains will be on hold til LegitScript gives explicit authorization to release them.
