I've got a little problem: A few weeks ago my old hosting and domain registrar company wrote me an email with a new invoice. My old reseller hosting package and my domain renewal had to be paid. I added funds to my account and paid the invoices. Then I wrote them an email back saying I need this domain because it's my bussiness domain and I don't want to lose it. After several emails they told me that a bigger company bought them and I have to contact the new owners. I contacted them and asked if evrything is ok with my domain. They didn't received my money (old company received it...) and I paid the new company again to not lose my domain. Now since a few days my domain isn't reachable and whois data says "expired 10.12.2012"... I have every email from them and all invoices are paid (screenshot of paypal, customer center and so on)... I contacted the support and opened a ticket.

What can I do? Can I sue the company for not renewing my domain though I paid them to do this???

    Please help me...

Did it expire October 12, 2012 or did it expire December 10, 2012? I know different Countries write dates differently. If it expired in October you're screwed. If it expired in December you are still under the 45 day grace period that most Registrars provide so the current host can pull it out of redemption and renew it. Takes them just a few minutes.

As far as suing hosts it will cost you more than it's worth. Go to WHT forum and post your experience with the old host and let it go. Work with the new host and get it out of redemption period. I wouldn't waste a day getting it back up if it is expired.

    Good luck
