If I buy an aged domain (maybe with keyword or without) and redirect it to a newly registered domain (with keyword), can the new domain get authority and other benefits of the aged domain ? I bought a domain newly, but my competitor have domain with 10+ age. My SEO-person told me that it is nearly impossible to outrank my competitor's domain with such age. So, I want to buy an aged domain (with 10+ age) and redirect the same to my new domain, could it help me anyway ?

It sounds like the redirect would be pointless. Why not switch your content to the aged domain?

Because the aged domain not very related with my niche, it's kind of generic. Can you give some suggestion regarding this

302 redirect is said to work. I have not tested.

I always use a permanent 301 redirect to from my old domains to my new ones. Eventually Google will acknowledge the old backlinks and point them to your new domains - heard it takes about 2 weeks, but I've noticed it takes a bit longer.
