I'm going to create a French site with a .fr domain.
Lets say my niche was "cheap Sony TVs", should I go and get cheapsonytvs.fr
    or should I get PaschertéléviseursSony.fr ?

I've never really worked with other countries so I'm not too sure.

EDIT: My question is Should I make the domain name in english or should I translate it to its French version?

Dont use brand name in your domain... unless you want to spend life savings on lawyers.

Sorry, that's not the point of the post.

Well, think about it. Are french people going to search for tvs on google in english? I doubt it.
Go to GAKT, change location to France. Type both phrases in English and French and see which phrase has more searches, but look at column "local monthly searches".

I see at least one correct post and that was prior to me being idiotic.

Re-read what was stated above to you about language preference (french as a first language [essentially your target demographic since you inquired specifically about that]), and in extension, the domain name and keywords after that. I was just being stupid.
