hi everybody
i have a good domain name , i want to sell in the market but this domain got penalized from google and that's because i plagiarized an article from another website (i was newbie , want to try somthing) and after a while i got a manual action message .
now i want to sell JUST THE DOMAIN NAME , should i tell the folk about penalty , or i shouldn,t , i think if i didn't say anything it consider a cheating .
please advise

Why not fix the penalty and sell? If it were anything more than a couple of bucks the buyer should carry out due diligence, want to see webmaster tools, Analytics. When you say you want to just sell the domain, you're not, you're selling a problem. Not sure that's a good way to trade.

thanks for you kind answer , it's just that it will take a time and effort to fix , but i will go for it , because after all it may be sold to end user .

Yes, tell the buyer. Explain what happened and that it can be fixed.
You will feel more comfortable and your buyer should appreciate it.

Better to take a little less and leave your buyer happy, rather than make a little more and have somebody calling you a scammer and trying to get a refund.

thank you guys for sharing ur opinions , i want to tell you that the domain i intend to sell become clean and the manual action removed (2 months ago i asked my hosting company to remove all my website database (couple pics and articles) in order to start new content or sell the domain) yesterday , i go to my website webmaster tool and checked out i found "No manual webspam actions found") , what i wanted to say is "god knows my good intention and wanted to rewards me for it ;) .

Of course you need to tell your buyer, what kind of question is that? You didn't deliver what you promised and you ask if you should include further, hidden details about your product...

You don't have to ask ... just ask yourself :) ..how do you feel it same happens to you :)

Yes you must tell the buyer. But i guess you can fix and sell it.

When you list just note it. then buyer aware it

It's better to tell the buyer the TRUTH!
That's happened to me a lot, Somedays I buy names for a purpose to resell them, but they're NOT indexed, or Used for PBN before, What I do is sample, Let it expire, and cancel them

you can still sell it but surely you should tell this to your potential buyers.
