how far domain names reselling can it takes you

depends on the domain i think good ones make solid money but most just sit there not a get rich quick thing

I had couple of good solid domains. Wanted to sell each for $5k. Didn't even get any quotation

Far if you have enough money to invest in good DNs first.

this is an industry where one needs to be patient though

It really depends on what kind of domains you have... Good domains can sell, weak ones may sit for years.

This is a very exclusive area to be in.

The very few brokers I know often have 1000's of domains, to manage, not worrying whether they sell or not.

Some make solid money, selling for 4 figures or more per week, but this is an exclusive club, there's not many like this.

Domain validation is very subjective, a bogus domain name that is the right fit for the buyer can often outperform domains with attractive keywords, that you would believe have a much better search and clarity value.
