Domain Names and Google Ranking

    Ok i have some good domain names that use A,CNAME, so i could use them with my blogger blogs, the thing is they are free, what i want to know if i am using a .co.uk domain will i still rank in the regular google not united kingdom google, and also does google pentalize you for not using a genric domain name or a paid domain name? basically does my domain extension have any effect of me egtting ranked #1 on my keywords? thanks

    as far as i know, google is paying less attention on meta keywords. hence you can stop spending hours in researching for the ultimate keyword.
    and what google now looks for would be.
    -Meta Title
    -Meta Description

    get this two thgs right and you will see traffic to your site.

    and domain name have huge impact on google.
    lets say you have a domain name like
    buyhatonline.com

    and someone search for the exact term. you will rank 1st.

    Google will consider your domain for uk,they'll optimize it for uk more & you will rank for some keywords in usa n other countries only if those keywords are of low competition, Signup for webmaster central; there you will find it there,

    I have a .in blog it gets ranked well for almost all popular terms in india.... But I get us n internation traffic only for not so popular terms :(
