Just thought of that, what about registering domain name with number.

If keyword.com is taken then take keyword1.com

Is it fine to take domain name and add a number at the end? (for SEO)

    J0kerz,

I just registered one today. It's my exact keyword phrase with a 1 on the front. So the site logo will be #1 Keyword Phrase. Great way to get a .com IMO.

will do. It's a pretty intense keyword so I'd probably not have gone for it had I not been able to get that domain. I'm actually thinking I should get the .org and .net too while I'm at it because it gets about 35k searches a month so if I can get the backlinks it'll be a CPA goldmine. The backlinks will be key though because the top two slots both have a couple thousand. Most are on niche blogs so I'll be contacting those webmasters and asking to be added to the links. :)

Should be a challenge but with great potential.

    This is what I do.
When I need a domain and check they're all gone, I put a number.
Or when I see someone selling, let's say, london.com for $750,000, I use to reg 1london.com for $6,95 at godaddy using the coupon code cjc695b2 :D
Those domain are killers on SEO...
