Let's say you have a new house cleaning company, called 'Shyne' Luckily, shyne.com is not taken. But what is better for SEO purposes? Shyne.com or Shynecleaners.com?

I know the Google algo over the years has significantly reduced the weight placed on keywords in the domain. But this question is...

Is a two-word .com domain with one of the words being the primary keyword more important in the Google algo than having the one-word .com brand name domain?

Shyne.com ... you will be happier with it over time... the SEO advantage for a keyword match in the domain is very small. Think of your customers... less to type for the URL and less to type when sending emails and less to speak when telling someone to check it out.

The shorter domain is better user experience... plus all your competitors will look like BillyBobCleanersInc72.com so you will look better too in the SERPs.
