    Hi There,

I see that a lot of webmasters put there domain name in the pagetitel and the word Home, like this:

    Keyword | XXX.keywordDotcom| Home

Is it better for ranking in google to put your domain name in the Page Titel? I hardly can belive that, but a lot of people do.

    Martin

(can not post url... XXX.keywordDotcom is the url)

Looks better for branding, it doesn't make anything measurable in difference though. However if 1 out of 20 visitors come back to your site based on them remembering it from that then you could say its great.

    Martin1971,

If you are trying to rank for queries related to your domain name, then yes it may be important to have your domain in your title tag. Of course if you are following best practices, you should also have the domain name in the content of the page for which the title is associated.

In general it is good to "front load" Title tags with keywords that you are trying to rank the page for. If you are using one keyword phrase and its variants, place them in the title tag in the order of importance. Generally speaking, volumes for domain name queries are quite low and the websites you see using them either don't know what they are doing or they are just using it for branding purposes.

Here are some good best practices for title tag configuration,

    Hope that helps you,
