Domain name impact on SEO

Has domain name any impact on site organic SEO?

For example, if I use a domain name .us will it be better ranked in United States? What if I use .su or .eu ?

definitely it has impact every .country domain has a great rating for that country's serps except for USA ... .com is best . those .us didn't have a very good realization over the years... at least thats my opinion

Agreed - domain name is very significant. If your key words are "plastic chairs" Then choose plasticchairs.com , plastic-chairs.com plastic-chairs-shop.cometc. Also county specific is also a help. I.E. if in UK, .co.uk is helpful but even more helpful is hosting in that country and building back links from that country.

country specific domain names will always rank better in their local country.
as for exact name, no for me. but, you'll get a little boost at the start which
means you can rank new sites in a short time. but, as time goes on,
i have not noticed any differences.

my free blogspot blog outranks my exact domain name.
i guess, 'fat content' plays in term of trust rank.
google doesn't discriminate what platform you use but rather how
trusted your site is. that's in my life dictionary regarding seo right now.

yes, .us domain will do help to rank better in USA
