How is it for SEO if you use hyphens in your domain name.
For instance is it better to have a .com name with hyphens than a .biz name without hyphens.
I'm told Google just looks at hyphens as a space.

Suppose I want to do a website about the Flintstones kids Bambam and Pebbles.
Which of these would be better
    flintstonesbambampebbles
    flintstones-bambam-pebbles

Also, how big of a deal is it to end up with a .biz domain instead of a .net, .org, or .com

Any thoughts you might have would be appreciated.
    Thanks for your time.

From my experience wiht over 50 domains/sites a [keyword].com Without hyphens is by far the best to rank for your keyword.

I don't think hyphen matters with search engine although it matters with visitors... Without hyphen it's easy to remember name and it doesn't look spammy...

But if you are looking for exact keyword domain name then you will have to play with it, no option... I have also seen diff tlds ranking in google for tough keywords so I don't think Google or other search engines got any issue with tlds...

It's my observation, others may not agree...

    1. keyword1keyword2.com
    2. keyword1-keyword2.com
    3. keyword1keyword2.net
    4. keyword1keyword2someword.com

We don't do that well for hyphens. But always do pretty good by adding a word before the EM domain your using. For example we have several that are like myKEYWORD.net

So if a person weren't paranoid about footprints and people knowing what they are doing online they could use this technique for branding.

I'm not paranoid because people couldn't care less about what I'm doing. But could this be an effective tactic for branding.

Is there a short and concise ebook on contemporary SEO strategies.

I learned what I know from SBI. I built my first website following their tutorials. It didn't earn any money, but SBI did teach me good SEO techniques. Atleast at that time. Of course their ideas on link building were not conducive to make money. Pathetic and weak might be a better way to say it.

Anyway, any good ebooks on todays on page SEO tactics.
