I am interested in the process of buying domain names and reselling them for a profit, but am just confused on several things:

    1. Is it possible to register a domain with a good name, then resell it without having content or age to the domain or do buyers only want aged domains?

    2. Do I have to sell it with content on the website or can I just park it?

    - I saw several domains listed for auction on go daddy going for big amounts with lots of bids, and clicking the link to the website was just a parked domain, yet they were getting a lot of bids...

I've also seen some domains going for cheap on ebay, are those good to resell on sites like Godaddy auctions?

You're a few years late in domaining industry with almost all the good names taken already. You can buy a premium domain in resale market and wait for end user to earn capital gain. However, it requires lots of patience and of course huge money to invest in.

If you develop a domain, its completely different thing. That way you are selling a website and its price depends upon a lot more factors like page rank, revenue, age, content (domain being one of the factors).

You don't get any good .com names now.. The best you can do is domain trading.. buy it from someone else and sell it to others.. You can still do some research and get related domain names of already existing business and then mail them about the domain you own and your offer price. It still works, you can scale it up if you have good money.

However setting up websites, ranking them, getting pr and selling them in flippa is something that works now and will continue to work. It is better to focus in that market.

This business is too much saturated so I would recommend you not to take a dip into it. You can go into flipping side as it has much potential if you learn basic tools and tactics.
