    Hello Blackhaters,

Recently I picked up 3 awesome expired domains and have since been trying to figure out what to do with them. I assume I could build a small site and flip them, but that probably requires a large amount of capital. I could sell the domains outright, but I don't think they would be worth a whole lot. Anyways, below are the domains and some interesting information about them:

    getsocialsales.com // PR 3

    17naked.com // 808 Domain Pop // "Date of Birth" 2004

    Everypokemon.com // 73 Blekko Inbound Links // 670 Domain Pop // Alexa = 21.9M // "Date of Birth" 2008

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Well since you asked...

Getsocialsales.com is not PR3, or at least it won't be for long. It has one link from a PR0 site. Always check incoming links.

17naked.com has a buttload of incoming links but it looks like the niche was bordering on illegal kiddie porn. Yikes. 2004 Birthdate is nothing special. You can find 1996 birthdates without much trouble.

    Everypokemon.com is copyright infringement.

I don't quite understand why you bought these domains or what you see as the good point. I guess the incoming links on the kiddie porn site are good if you wanted to go into that niche.

Not really worth anything, go setup a blog on each of them, and sell blogposts/blogroll links on fiverr and make a bit of cash from them. Should get a few sales.

1and1 was having a sale. Each domain was only $1 so I didn't think it would hurt. Now it seems like a stupid investment.... Ughh...

So from what I understand so far, I shouldn't bother doing anything with the domains?

Ppl are being harsh here ;) the "naked" one -with legit, lawful content- is worth a LOT of cash, maybe not for the "domain name" alone or the SEO work but with the right traffic idea it can turn into a cash cow of epic proportions... Lol at whoever says differently: probably not familiar with this specific area and sadly this ain't the right forum to discuss it. Good luck.

Have you tried selling them? Sedo? I'm sure you'd get a few bids on them since they're pretty catchy domain names.

Anyone have an idea about how much these domains would be worth on sedo? Cause I might do that....

I talked to a few people and I get conflicting answers. Some say all 3 domains have potential if I chose to build upon them, others say they are all useless.

Another idea is to try to make them semi-profitable sites and flip them.

Just as an update to this thread...

I have decided that I will soon (within a month or two) begin working on putting something up for the three sites I bought. If they are successful enough, maybe I can keep them for some side income, otherwise, off to Flippa they go.

getsocialsales.com // Decided to try a re-selling site. Maybe social bookmarking from Fiverr?

17naked.com // Really on the edge with this one. Everyone says to do an adult site, but I don't know how comfortable I am with that. I sure see potential though.

everypokemon.com // Make a quick online "pokedex" like app. Shouldn't take more than a few days. If I have to take the site offline due to copyright, then so be it.

Anyways, I'll update you when I get things moving. Suggestions are still welcome.

Thanks and Happy early New Years!

Submit them to Foxydomains and see if they will sell them for you. They are very selective. There are other smaller sites out there that sell names to. In my opinion SEDO is way to big and cluttered. I sold one recently through Foxy is why I suggested them. But there are others boutique sites like them, Brandbucket, Frozenlemons, etc.

Just put the domains on Sedo, will see how that goes.

On another note, I used the waybackmachine to look at 17nude.com and I found that in 2005 the website was sized by the FBI... Don't really think thats so awesome now....

I say flip them with some content etc... you got a year to get your money back you spent on those... as far as domain age.. I could get 1996 domains instantly... but that won't change anything for big G etc..not anymore.

You could use getsocialsales as a site to sell an ebook or course on marketing products through social networks.

He could, but it's a fake PR3. He'd have to get traffic to it somehow once he has an ebook on there. I guess if he did it right he could make money this way but he'd literally only be using domain name The name is the only advantage he has right now for an offer like that.

May be you should try to sell it on flippa.. Or for better rate you can grow the content with increasing PR.
