Domain format

    Hi,

    what's better for a domain format:



    example: Blue Cars
    (and assume bluecars.com is taken)
    You're promoting a short-term PPC thing, not building a brand for the long haul.

    Which format should one pick:

    BlueCars1.com (if 1 is taken, then 2+, etc)

    or

    Blue--Cars.com (assume the single dash is already taken)


    ?

    I would opt for the one with numerals as it offers greater variance. Domain names with double dash signs seems like a bad idea.

    On the same note, what about using subdomains to really target content? Is anyone having success with that?

    I would avoid using dashes regardless of how you're promoting the site.
