    Hi,

what's better for a domain format:

    example: Blue Cars
    (and assume bluecars.com is taken)
You're promoting a short-term PPC thing, not building a brand for the long haul.

    Which format should one pick:

BlueCars1.com (if 1 is taken, then 2+, etc)

    or

Blue--Cars.com (assume the single dash is already taken)

    ?

let me know your quick thoughts, thanks

I would opt for the one with numerals as it offers greater variance. Domain names with double dash signs seems like a bad idea.

On the same note, what about using subdomains to really target content? Is anyone having success with that?

I would avoid using dashes regardless of how you're promoting the site.
