    Hello guys,

i would like to know does it effects which domain extension ( .com , .net, .org etc ) I use for EMD sites ?

I have nice ideas for one good EMD but all related .com domains are either premium either taken .

.com .net and .org are top level domains so which ever one you choose out of these you should be ok. The question is if you want to proceed with EMD since it doesn't hold as much value as before seo wise.

Why doesn't EMD hold any value? I mean they're still cc'TLD's

.info are picking up quite a bit of use. Also look at .biz and .co. Also keep in mind, if a .com for a EMD is taken you can sometimes pick up the term if you include dashes between the term words. Hope this helps.

EMDs still hold value, it's just that Google now deranks sites that look too artificially constructed around a main keyword, from the domain, to onpage elements, to backlinks. A microniche term will always carry good ranking power by itself because it has little competition compared to larger niches. Just construct sites that appear more natural, with more keywords in play so G doesn't look at them as 'SEO spam' sites.
