If I buy a domain at auction does it keep its domain age upon reregistering? Domains registration expired about 25 days ago.

check out Ticktocktimeclocks.com this domain I just got a week ago from Godady not only as you can see kept it's pr but also it's age. Here's the rule to follow buy a domain from the auction house in Godady all you do is transferring ownership so all the data stays such as pr and age. Once the domain goes out of auction and can now be registered as a new domain the data is erased and is reset to zero hope this helps.

I've only bought from auctions before and this is what one of mine shows:

It should keep the age...

I bought a 8 year domain a 3 weeks ago and it kept the age + PR.

same for me ! but that's seems to be only for godady's auctions not for other marketplaces ... most probably like hoodkist said they just transfer the ownership to the new owner leaving everything else intact ...

ps later edit : just got other 4 domains all of them 9y+ )
