    Absolutely yeeeees.
An old domain, parked too with no content, has a huge SEO value.

It could sound sarcastic but I have experienced it last year. Parked with a sad page (classic parking page).
I had a short word domain (5 letters) .com and owned it for 4 years. I hadn't no project for it because there was no keyword or business that I could attach to it. I have only tried on SitePoint marketplace. Boom, sold it for 2k dollars.

No need for software..You can easily check the age of the domain through whois info. You can check the whois info through the Whoisxy .

ScrapeBox has an addon that checks for domain names in the GoDaddy auction which are about to expire and shows the age of them. You can get some really good ones for a steal.
