I'm new to IM, and so far i have outsourced all of my SEO. I have read a lot here, and everyone has said that beginners should always do their own seo. Where can i learn how to do this?i know that i should be guest posting on other forum/blogs related to my niche, and stuff like that, but what else should i be doing to bring in a lot of targeted traffic to my site? Are there any tools i should invest in?

    Thanks

Search no fruther, BHW is what you need. On top of that SEOmoz is one of the best SEO communities out there on the web, they have free 30 days trial so it's one of the best places to start for newbies.

Do you have an existing web site you are trying to promote? Or are you looking to make lots of web sites, rank them all, to make money?

If you have an existing site then use a free tool like Ahrefs.com to see how your competitors on Page 1 of the search results are getting there. Look at the quantity of links, the types of sites they are coming from, if they look automated or not, and try to work out what is giving them an edge on you. This will teach you a lot about what is working for SEO in your niche. It will also give you an idea of how easy it will be to also get on the first page.

what i recommend you to do for your tiers..

    tier1
blog roll links - you can used automatic backlinks. just buy domains with pr for this
    blog networks
private blog networks - you can used private fbl script if you can buy blogs. no need to pay for host
private blog networks - you can buy blog post links on bst section
web2s - you can do it manually or buy them on bst section
guest posting - you can do this manually or you can used content facilitator (im not sure if they are still working.. i have stop using them)..
GSA SER - get links only above pr3

    Tier2
    gsa ser
    sb
    xrumer
    article submission
    wikis

and just repeat tier2 for tier3s..

For tier1s, build at a rate of 30-50links/day and vary your anchors...
